The Patch Burn Grazing Community of Practice would like to announce its annual meeting for 2016.

Where: Childress, TX

When: August 24-26, 2016

Lodging: Room block at Super 8 in Childress, TX (411 Ave. F, NE 940‐937‐8825) for $67/night. Reserve your room by July 15, 2016.  Other recommended hotels include Holiday Inn Express ($80-85/night)  and Hampton Inn & Suites ($90/night).

Open call for abstracts: Send your abstracts to GPFireScience@gmail.com. Include, Title, Author(s), and 500 words or less about the presentation you plan to give.

Program:

August 24. The program will kick off with a Patch Burn Grazing 101 presentation by Sam Fuhlendorf for those new to the practice. Presentations related to research and practice of using patch burn grazing will follow. Join us for a social at the 501 Winery down the street after presentations.

August 25. We'll start the day with a special prevention on the Matador Wildlife Management area followed by a an afternoon field trip. The field trip will include a look at the WMA's fire equipment.

August 26. A second field trip is planned to the Mill Iron Ranch on Saturday morning before heading for home.
