Fire and wildlife go together in the GP

In the eastern part of our region, we are familiar with the prairie-chickens both lesser and greater and maybe even the guessers. In the northwestern GP, learning to manage sage grouse habitat has been much debated.  In the coming year, we’ll be shifting our focus to the role of fire in maintaining these iconic species and more.  It has also been suggested that it would be productive to think about the effects of no fire on species.  We welcome your suggestions for key research findings to share over the next year.
